It's all about power of course. Guys form metal bands to take the power back, which has something to do with getting laid. Although this, as a form of artistic expression, is more valid than buying a Ferrari, one might question its efficiency as a means of revolution.

The riff repeats for no real reason; I guess this is why most of their songs last less than a minute and a half. Oooh, now it's the ominous slow down before they go into quadruple speed, which of course is the point of the song.

Oh yeah, those are the lyrics they choose to make intelligible. It's enough to make one appreciate the concise wit of Slayer.

I mean playing fast is great and all, but you do need actual riffs with actual dynamics, not just here's a chord, there's a chord, everywhere a chord chord. As much as I envy the drummer's fitness (even if he's not quite keeping up), this isn't aerobics.
siege of power
they made you a tool
while others were ruling
you were being ruled
Metal gets socialism half right. It correctly notes that the problems in contemporary society are deeply structural imbalances in opportunity and control. It incorrectly identifies the solution as YAAAAARRRHHHH. Still, half right is better than most liberals manage.
